Description: Introducing the KatWalk, a new model Shaped by Chris Darby, inspired by and crafted for G&S rider Mele Saili. Chris’s thought process in creating this board began with an outline reminiscent of the G&S ‘Classic Nose rider’, featuring a rounded yet slightly pulled-in nose template akin to the late Floyd Smith’s ‘Perfecto’ design. The midsection to tail incorporates ‘Classic Nose rider’ hips that subtly widen towards a broader tail, enhancing agility for swift and fluid pivot turns and effortless nose riding across diverse wave conditions. Engineered for superior stability, and culminates in a diamond tail, ensuring seamless and graceful maneuverability. Tailored to Mele’s dynamic style, this board enables rapid nose positioning for prolonged nose rides followed by smooth transitions for subsequent maneuvers. Versatile for surfers of all levels, it excels particularly in knee to head-high waves, offering optimal performance and control. This Model will be available in 9’2, 9’4, 9’6 and 9’8.

“This special collaboration marks my homecoming to our family label after years of traveling, competing, and riding for various companies. The design of this board draws inspiration from my very first magic board shaped by my father, Masi Saili, which had a diamond tail. Ever since then, I’ve had a fondness for diamond tail boards.
The KatWalk offers smooth and early entry into waves, excellent paddle power, and hips that make for smooth turns. It also provides lift for nose riding across different sections of the wave, all while keeping a nice trim.” - Mele Saili
Fin set up/ Options: Recommended as a Single Fin.

Standard Construction U.S. Blanks Blue or Green Density Foam with either a foam tband _ 2 flaired glue cuts, a balsa tband with Glue cuts or a Regular 1/4" stringer with 2- flaired glue-cuts, 2-Layers of 6oz Glass on the deck with a Deck patch and 1- 6oz on the bottom. Wet Sanded Gloss or Gloss & Polish finish recommended. Resin tint and resin panels are an option.
